Maintenance work on Glenfield Road
6 June 2012
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will be carrying out maintenance on Glenfield Road, between Old Glenfield Road and Roy Watts Road.
An RMS spokesperson said this $1.4 million project has been fully funded by the NSW Government.
“This essential work involves resurfacing the road to provide a smoother, more durable road surface which will improve road safety and reduce ongoing maintenance costs,” the spokesperson said.
“Work will start next week and is expected to take a month to complete, weather permitting.
“To minimise traffic disruptions most of the work will be carried out at night, with the road partially closed Sunday to Friday between 8pm and 5am.
”Every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on residents.
“Motorists should expect minor delays and are asked to follow the direction of traffic controllers and obey all signs, including reduced speed limits.
“Up to date information about the work, including any date changes, will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road,” the spokesperson said.
