Speed limit changes on Windsor Road
21 June 2012
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is advising motorists of changes to speed limits on Windsor Road between Kellyville and Baulkham Hills in the next two weeks.
An RMS spokesperson said RMS carried out a review of Windsor Road as part of the NSW audit of speed zones.
“The review assessed a number of factors including road environment, traffic characteristics and crash data,” the spokesperson said.
“As a result of the review the 80km/h speed limit through Kellyville will be extended by 480 metres to just west of Acres Road.
“The 70km/h speed limit through Baulkham Hills will be extended by 790 metres to Parsonage Road.
“The changes will provide consistent speed limits for motorists travelling on Windsor Road.
“Motorists are reminded to drive carefully and pay extra attention during the transition period,” the spokesperson said.
Electronic message signs will be in place a week before the new speed limit signs are installed to advise motorists of the change.
These message signs will remain in place for at least a week after the speed limit change.
RMS expects the new speed limit signs to be installed from 9 July, weather permitting.
