Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the safe staging of ski boat races on Lake Albert this weekend.
Maritime Acting Regional Manager Murray/Inland Bill Neyland said boaters should keep clear of all of the navigable waters of Lake Albert between 8am and 6pm on Saturday and Sunday this weekend.
“This area will be used exclusively for the safe staging of ski boat races organised by Country ACT Ski Racing,” Mr Neyland said.
“For safety reasons, skippers should avoid this area as it will be restricted for the event and patrolled by control vessels.”
Mr Neyland said vessels would not be permitted to enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by a Boating Safety Officer or a Police Officer.
