Night work on Old Windsor Rd at Toongabbie
29 October 2012
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will start night work on Old Windsor Road between Hamers Road and Oakes Road at Toongabbie.
“Work to replace asphalt and provide a more durable road surface will be carried out from Tuesday 6 November over four nights between 8pm and 5am,” an RMS spokesperson said.
“The NSW government project has contributed $900,000 to this project to improve road safety by providing a more durable road surface.
“One lane will be closed during the work and traffic controllers and electronic message signs will be in place to direct motorists.
“The next stage of this work will start in early 2013 and will involve diamond grinding and groove cutting the road’s concrete surface to reduce the traffic noise between Hammers Road and Oakes Road,” the spokesperson said.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution, follow all signs and allow extra travel time.
