Hunter Expressway community information day
15 October 2012
A Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) spokesperson today said staff from the Hunter Expressway team will be at the Kurri Kurri Festival this weekend.
“Work is progressing well on both sections and staff can provide information about the various projects being carried out along the 40 kilometre expressway,” the spokesperson said.
“Project information, including maps, artists’ impressions and a 3D computer model of the Hunter Expressway will be available on the day.
“The community information stand and display is part of the government’s ongoing commitment to community consultation.
“The Hunter Expressway team will continue to hold public information sessions throughout the Hunter while work continues.
“The $1.7 billion project is jointly funded, with the Federal Government providing $1.5 billion and the NSW Government contributing up to $200 million,” the spokesperson said.
