Community information sessions for Sapphire to Woolgoolga upgrade
16 November 2012
Local residents and businesses are invited to two community information sessions being held this month for the Sapphire to Woolgoolga Pacific Highway upgrade.
The information sessions give the community an opportunity to meet the project team, discuss the upgrade’s progress, ask questions and provide feedback.
Representatives will also provide an update on building activities and major upcoming project milestones.
Information sessions will be held on Saturday 24 November at:
- Woolgoolga Community Village Hall Boundary Street at Woolgoolga from 9.30am to 11am
- Training room at the Sapphire to Woolgoolga upgrade site compound at Emerald Beach (access at Fiddaman Road at Emerald Beach) between 1.30pm and 3pm.
The $705 million 25 kilometre upgrade extends from Sapphire, immediately north of Coffs Harbour, to Arrawarra, north of Woolgoolga. The project consists of an upgrade of the existing highway to a four lane divided road with a bypass to the west of Woolgoolga.
The upgrade will significantly improve road safety and reduce travel times for all users of the highway.
