Night work on Old Windsor Road at Toongabbie
29 November 2012
A Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) spokesperson has announced night work will resume on Old Windsor Road between Hammers and Oakes roads at Toongabbie.
“RMS will carry out work from Sunday 9 December from 8pm to 5am for four weeks excluding a short break for the holidays,” the spokesperson said.
“RMS will resurface the road to reduce the traffic noise between Hammers and Oakes roads and carry out diamond grinding to improve road traction.
“The NSW government has contributed $900,000 to this project to improve road safety by providing a more durable road surface.
“Lane closures will be required during the work and traffic controllers and electronic message signs will be in place to direct motorists.
“Motorists are advised to drive with caution, follow all signs and allow extra travel time.
“For traffic information contact the Transport Management Centre on 132 701 or visit www.livetraffic.com,” the spokesperson said.
