Hunter Expressway information session at Singleton
5 December 2012
A Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) spokesperson today announced the Hunter Expressway team will hold a community information session at Singleton on Tuesday 11 December.
“Major work is continuing along the full length of the Hunter Expressway,” the spokesperson said.
“The project team will provide information to the community about activities taking place in their area and the operation of the six interchanges along the route.
“A comprehensive update on the project will be available at the information session, including maps, artist impressions and a computerised 3D model of the completed expressway.
“The information sessions and public engagement are part of the project’s ongoing community consultation.
“The Hunter Expressway team will continue to hold regular public information sessions throughout 2013 at locations in the Hunter,” the spokesperson said.
The $1.7 billion Hunter Expressway project is jointly funded, with the Australian Government providing $1.5 billion and the NSW Government contributing up to $200 million.
