Final stage of night work on Botany Road
Friday 11 January 2013
“Motorists are advised Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will carry out the final stage of night work on Botany Road between Banksia Street, Mascot and Robey Street at Botany.
“Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will carry out night work from 8pm to 5am from Sunday 20 January to Friday 25 January,” an RMS spokesperson said.
“The section of road where work is being carried out will be closed to all vehicles meaning different detours are required during these times, to ensure the safety of workers.
“Traffic controllers and electronic signs will direct motorists through alternating detours as work is carried out at the Wentworth Avenue, Mill Pond Road,
Southern Cross Drive and Robey Street intersections.
“Details and up to date information regarding the different detours can be found on the RMS web site www.rms.nsw.gov.au/roadprojects under ‘Southern Sydney’ or by calling the Transport Management Centre on 132 701.
“Motorists are reminded parking will be restricted on Botany Road between Banksia Street and Robey Street from 8pm to 5am. Traffic controllers will be on site to ensure residents and businesses can access their properties.
“Every effort will be made to minimise noise associated with the work.
“Motorists are advised to drive with caution, obey all signs, including reduced speed limits, and allow extra travel time.
“For further information please contact RMS project engineer Ronald Ip on (02) 9598 7842 during business hours or email Ronald.Ip@rms.nsw.gov.au,” the spokesperson said.
