Have your say on Grafton Bridge preferred option C
Friday 25 January 2013
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) today reminded the Grafton community comment on the preferred option for the additional crossing of the Clarence River closes mid February.
“RMS is inviting community feedback on the recommended route option C before the comment period closes on 18 February,” an RMS spokesperson said.
“RMS will consider all feedback before a decision is made on the final preferred route option which is scheduled to be announced later this year.
“Community feedback is vital to refine the design and ensure the preferred option meets the community’s needs.
“RMS will collate feedback on the preferred option, refine the concept design and prepare and display an environmental assessment later in 2013 and a start date for work subject to funding.
“One key benefit of the preferred option is it allows the road corridor to be preserved for future work.
“The community is invited to visit a staffed display at Grafton Shoppingworld from 9am to 5pm on Thursday 31 January and Thursday 7 February to meet the project team and have their say.
“The recommended preferred option is also available to view at www.rms.nsw.gov.au/graftonbridge.
“Feedback can be submitted by phone on 1800 633 332, by email on firstname.lastname@example.org or mail to Grafton Bridge Feedback, PO Box 546 Grafton 2460,” the spokesperson said.
