Work restarts on Moruya River Bridge repairs
Wednesday 30 January 2013
Motorists are advised Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) will continue work this week to repair the footpath on the eastern side of Moruya River Bridge on the Princes Highway at Moruya.
Night work will be carried out Wednesday 30 January to Friday 1 February from 7pm to 5am, weather permitting.
Work will be carried out at night to reduce the impact on motorists and pedestrians. One lane will be closed during work to ensure the safety of motorists and workers.
Traffic control will be in place and motorists will be able to pass the worksite.
Pedestrian access will be maintained on the western footpath.
RMS will investigate the extent of the damage while repair work is being carried out.
Work to finalise repairs is expected to be conducted over one week in February.
RMS will provide further advice about this work closer to the date.
Every effort will be made to minimise noise and impact of temporary lighting associated with the work.
Motorists are advised to plan their journey, allow extra travel time and obey all signs.
