Windsor Bridge inspection and survey work continues
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is advising the community of survey work scheduled to be carried out for the Windsor Bridge replacement project over five days and two nights from Monday 8 April 2013.
“RMS will be carrying out inspections n the northern and southern banks of the river near Windsor Bridge and within Thompson Square as part of continuous research and development for the Windsor Bridge replacement project.
“RMS will carry out inspection work during the day, between 7am and 6pm, from Monday 8 to Friday 12 April 2013, weather permitting.
“To minimise traffic impacts, surface level surveys at Bridge and George streets, Wilberforce and Freemans Reach roads, and the existing southern end of the bridge near The Terrace will be carried out from 7pm to 5am on Monday 8 and Tuesday 9 April 2013, weather permitting.
“Motorists are advised minor delays may be experienced during these investigations.
“Every effort will be made to minimise noise from generators associated with this work and any disruption to nearby residents and businesses.
“Information regarding these activities, including any lane closures or speed limit changes, will be displayed on electronic message signs along the roadway.
“Pedestrian diversions will also be clearly marked.
“For further information please visit www.rms.nsw.gov.au/projects or contact the RMS project team on 1800 822 486 during business hours or email Windsor_Bridge@rms.nsw.gov.au,” an RMS spokesperson said.
