Replacement of the Holman Bridge
Monday 22 April
Preliminary work for the replacement of the Holman Bridge is expected to be completed this week.
The NSW Government has provided $23 million under the Bridges for the Bush program to replace the bridge over the Lachlan River at Gooloogong.
The NSW Government has committed $145 million to support the Bridges for the Bush initiative.
This work will remove a number of significant freight pinch points and bottlenecks as well as improve road safety for local communities.
The new 252 metre long concrete bridge will be downstream of the existing bridge and will reduce ongoing maintenance costs.
Tenders to build the new bridge were called earlier this month and close on Wednesday 22 May.
A pre tender meeting for all interested parties will be held at Gooloogong Country Club at 10am on Tuesday 23 April with an inspection of the bridge site to follow the meeting.
