Bus stop relocation on Ryde Road near Yanko Road at West Pymble
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) today reminded bus passengers and local residents the bus stop on Ryde Road near Yanko Road at West Pymble will be temporarily relocated 100 metres south while upgrade work is carried out for the bus priority project.
“Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) is working to upgrade Ryde Road to improve bus access between Hornsby and Macquarie Park,” an RMS spokesperson said
“Work will start on 28 June to widen the road and upgrade bus lanes between Yanko Road and De Burghs Bridge at West Pymble.
“The southbound bus stop near Yanko Road will be relocated 100 metres south for several weeks to ensure passengers can safely access buses away from the work site.
“Local residents and passengers will be notified of the changes through a mail out and information displayed at the bus stop.
“Work under way for the bus reliability project on Ryde Road includes:
Widening the road into the central median from the Yanko Road intersection to about 260 metres south, to allow the left turn lane extension into Lady Game Drive.
Adjusting the median at the Lady Game Drive intersection to allow a bus only lane to be installed.
Widening the road in the reserve to allow the bus only lane to continue south of the Lady Game Drive intersection towards De Burghs Bridge.
“Every effort will be made to minimise disruption to motorists during the work,” the spokesperson said.
