Work completed on Coledale Hospital bus bay and footpath
Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has improved access for pedestrians around Coledale Hospital with the completion of a new footpath and a widened bus bay.
RMS installed a 40 metre long footpath and widened the bus bay on the western side of Lawrence Hargrave Drive to allow buses to pull off the highway to improve safety for passengers and motorists.
The bus bay provides important public transport access to the hospital.
The footpath and widening of the bus bay were completed after safety concerns were identified for pedestrians walking to and from the bus and Coledale Hospital.
The $150,000 project was funded by the State Bus Priority and Access Program.
RMS thanks the community for their patience while this important work was carried out.
