Tenders called to deliver improved cyclist and pedestrian access at Rozelle Bay and maritime precinct
Work to improve pedestrian and cyclist access to the maritime precinct at Rozelle Bay is expected to start in September with Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) calling for tenders to deliver upgraded facilities.
An RMS spokesperson said RMS is calling for tenders to provide a new footpath and cycleway as well as upgraded lighting and landscaping at the maritime precinct.
“RMS owns about 10 hectares of land in Rozelle Bay and has called for tenders from a preapproved panel of companies to improve the footpath and cycleway from The Crescent to the corner of James Craig Road.
”Rozelle Bay has a large number of boat storage, marine repair and superyacht outlets and the precinct is set to be expanded with plans and approvals pending for several new developments.
“Once the successful tenderer has been selected, work is expected to start in September, weather permitting.
“RMS will notify local residents and the community before work starts,” the spokesperson said.
Tenders close at 2pm on Thursday, 15 August. The tender documents can be found at https://tenders.nsw.gov.au
