Speed limit changes in Albury

Motorists are encouraged to slow down on sections of Burrows Road and Wodonga Place at Albury with speed limit changes in place.

Roads and Maritime Services has carried out a review of the two roads as part of the NSW audit of speed zones and in response to community feedback.

“The review assessed a number of factors along the roads including pedestrian activity, road environment, traffic characteristics and crash data,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.

A 50km/h speed limit has been introduced on Burrows Road between Union Road and Ryan Road.

The existing speed limit at Noreuil Park near Wodonga Place was reduced to 40km/h between the intersections of Wodonga Place and Ebden Street and Wodonga Place and Hume Street.

Members of the community can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area and have their say on speed limits.
