Have your say on Highway safety upgrades at Mount Victoria and Hartley
Roads and Maritime Services is inviting the community to view the Review of Environmental Factors (REF) for proposed Great Western Highway safety upgrades at Mount Victoria and Hartley Valley and provide feedback by Friday 7 February.
The projects are part of the wider $250 million Australian and NSW government funded Great Western Highway upgrade between Katoomba and Lithgow which aims to improve safety on this key route.
The proposed Mount Victoria and Hartley Valley safety upgrades include highway shoulder widening, improving the road alignment and improving turning lanes at key intersections.
The community can view the REF reports from Monday 25 November to Friday 7 February on the Roads and Maritime website and at the Blue Mountains and Lithgow City council offices, Mount Victoria General Store and the Hartley Valley Lolly Shop.
Written feedback to the REF and options report is invited by Friday 7 February by email to K2Lupgrade@rms.nsw.gov.au or by mail to K2L Great Western Highway upgrade, PO Box 1406, Lane Cove, NSW 1595.
For more information on the highway upgrade visit Roads and Maritime’s website at rms.nsw.gov.au/projects or call the Project Team on 1800 035 733 (toll free).
