Jigamy Farm intersection improvements to be completed in March
Motorists are being advised work to improve access to Jigamy Farm from the Princes Highway north of Eden would continue until March next year due to additional drilling and blasting work required for the upgrade.
“The safety upgrade which started in September involves widening the Princes Highway to separate through traffic and improve turning safety for motorists accessing Jigamy Farm,” a Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said.
“The expected completion date was delayed from the end of 2013 due to difficulties removing the hard rock which has required further drilling and blasting work.
“Work was suspended on 19 December to allow motorists to travel during the holiday period and will resume in January.
“The Jigamy Farm intersection upgrade is expected to be completed by the end of March 2014, weather permitting.”
