Temporary disruption to maritime phone services

Temporary disruption to maritime phone services

18 February 2014

Roads and Maritime Services is advising customers the phone payments system for maritime licences will be off line tomorrow and Thursday for a system upgrade.

The phone payments system will be taken off line from 8am Wednesday 19 February to 12pm Thursday 20 February for work to ensure the system serves Roads and Maritime customers well into the future.

The temporary outage will only affect customers calling 131 236 to make licencing payments. These include General Boat Licenses, Recreational Vessels Registration and Commercial Certificates of Operations. All other options on the phone system will still operate as will the general inquiries number of 131 256.

Customers wanting to pay for maritime licences during this time can visit a motor registry or Service NSW office, or make the payment on line.

Roads and Maritime thanks customers for their patience while this important work is carried out.

The essential maintenance to the phone system is part of Roads and Maritimes' commitment to providing high quality services for the residents of NSW.
