Changed boating conditions for powerboat race on Lake Albert

20 February 2014

Boaters are reminded to keep clear of Lake Albert this weekend for the safe staging of powerboat circuit racing.

Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence for the entire lake from 8am to 5pm both days.

The area will be maintained and monitored by marked control vessels.

Those in boats not involved in the event should not enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.

Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating. Lifejackets are required to be worn in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.
