Changed boating conditions for Lake Albert ski race this weekend

24 September 2014

Boaters are reminded to keep clear of Lake Albert at Wagga Wagga this weekend for the safe staging of a ski race.

Roads and Maritime Services has granted an exclusive use aquatic licence which covers the whole of Lake Albert from 9am to 5pm on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 September.

The area will be maintained and monitored by marked control vessels.

Boaters not involved in event should not enter the exclusive use area unless authorised by a boating safety officer or a police officer.

Roads and Maritime reminds people to wear a lifejacket when boating, especially in vessels smaller than 4.8 metres when alone, at night or offshore.

Visit maritime safety for more information.
