Speed limit change on Ryde and Gladesville Roads at Hunters Hill
Motorists are advised to slow down as a speed limit reduction is implemented this Friday 14 November on Ryde Road and Gladesville Road at Hunters Hill. “Roads and Maritime Services reviewed the 60 km/h speed limit on Ryde Road and Gladesville Road in response to a request from Hunters Hill Council,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.
“Roads and Maritime will reduce the speed limit on Ryde Road and Gladesville Road from Short Street to Church Street from 60 km/h to 50 km/h.
“The 50km/h speed limit through the busy Hunters Hill shopping strip is expected to improve safety for pedestrians and road users.
“New speed limit signs are expected to be installed from this Friday 14 November, weather permitting.”
Electronic message signs are in place to ensure motorists are aware of the change. Motorists are reminded to drive to the speed limit at all times. Community members can sign up to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area at www.saferroadsnsw.com.au.
