Road surface to be improved on Hume Street at Goulburn

18 November 2014

Roads and Maritime Services will start work this week to improve safety for motorists on Hume Street at south Goulburn.

The road resurfacing project aims to provide a safer road surface for motorists and reduce future maintenance costs.

Work will be carried out between Finlay Road and Mary Street on weekdays from Friday 21 November to Sunday 30 November and Saturdays between 9am and 3pm, weather permitting.

One lane will be closed while work is carried out to ensure the safety of road users and workers.

Road users are asked to follow the direction of traffic control, signs and reduced speed limits.

Some noise will be associated with the work and every effort will be made to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.

Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience while work is carried out.

The work is part of Roads and Maritime’s commitment to deliver safe and high quality services to the community and businesses of Goulburn.
