Speed changes made on Tyringham and Muldiva Roads Bostobrick
9 Decemeber 2014
Motorists are advised of speed limit changes this week on Tyringham and Muldiva roads at Bostobrick.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said the speed limit will be changed on the two roads this week after the existing 100km/h speed limit was reviewed earlier this year.
“The review was carried out in accordance with the NSW Speed Zoning Guidelines and in consultation with Bellingen Shire Council,” the spokesperson said.
“The review assessed a number of factors including roadside development, traffic characteristics and crash data.”
The existing speed limit of 100km/h on Tyringham Road between 400 metres east of Muldiva Road and 100 metres west of Muldiva Road will be reduced to 60km/h.
The existing speed limit of 100km/h on Muldiva Road from Tyringham Road to 400 metres south of Tyringham Road will be reduced to 60km/h.
“The lower speed limit better reflects recent roadside development, alignment and aims to improve safety for all road users,” the spokesperson said.
“Bellingen Shire Council will install the signs this week and motorists are reminded the new speed limit will be enforceable from that time.”
