Night work in mid march on the M4 Motorway at Granville

27 February 2015

Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists work will take place in mid March on the M4 Motorway on ramp bridge over the pedestrian path from Woodville Road at Parramatta Road in Granville.

The essential maintenance to replace existing bridge joints will provide a stronger, more durable and safer bridge.

Work will be carried out in five shifts between 9pm and 5am from Sunday 15 March to Wednesday 25 March, except Fridays and Saturdays, weather permitting.

Lane closures will be in place while work is carried out to ensure the safety of road users and workers. There will be detours in place on all shifts to divert traffic onto Church Street, the Great Western Highway and the Cumberland Highway.

Road users are asked to follow the direction of traffic control, obey reduced speed limits and follow traffic signs.

There will be some noise associated with this work but every effort will be made to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.

Roads and Maritime Services appreciates the patience of the community while this important work is carried out.

Up to date information, including any date changes and detours will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road.
