Changed traffic conditions on Yanco Avenue, Leeton
11 March 2015
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists changed traffic conditions will be in place for road work at the Yanco Avenue and McQuillan Road intersection from next Monday.
Roads and Maritime will widen the road at the intersection and improve drainage as part of a $250,000 project to improve road safety.
Work will be carried out on weekdays from 7am to 5pm, weather permitting.
The Yanco Avenue intersection with Lillypilly Road will be closed during work hours for the safety of road users. Residents along Lillypilly Road can use Petersham Road or Lillypilly Road to access Yanco Avenue.
Partial lane closures will be in place while the work is carried out to ensure the safety of road users and workers.
Road users should plan their trip, allow extra travel time and follow the direction of traffic controllers, reduced speed limits and all signs.
Up to date information, including any date changes and detours will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road.
Roads and Maritime thanks the community for their patience during upgrade work, which is expected to take about two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
