Changed traffic conditions for Hume Highway bridge work at Pheasants Nest
12 March 2015
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists there will be changed traffic conditions on the Hume Motorway next week as maintenance work continues on the twin bridges at Pheasants Nest.
Maintenance work on both bridges has been carried out since late last year to improve safety for motorists, reduce future maintenance costs and ensure the asset serves the community into the future.
The southbound bridge will be closed on Monday 16 March and the northbound bridge closed on Tuesday 17 March. Both closures will take place between 7pm and 5am.
A contra flow will be set up and traffic control will direct motorists onto the opposite bridge.
The northbound bridge will be closed on Thursday 19 March and the final closure to complete maintenance work will take place on Sunday 22 March on the southbound bridge.
Motorists are advised to follow the direction of traffic controllers, signs and reduce speed limits through the work area.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience while work is carried out.
