Changed traffic conditions on Kings Highway at Queanbeyan
16 March 2015
Roads and Maritime Services advises motorists there will be changed traffic conditions on the Kings Highway at Queanbeyan from this Sunday night as safety improvement work is carried out.
Night work will take place between Lowe Street and Cameron Road to repair the road surface and reduce future maintenance costs.
Work will be carried out between 7pm and 5am on Sunday 22 and Monday 23 March, weather permitting.
Motorists are advised both westbound lanes on the Kings Highway will be closed, with traffic diverted to the eastbound side.
Traffic control will help direct motorists and a reduced speed limit of 40km/h will be in place for the safety of workers and motorists.
Roads and Maritime thanks motorists for their patience while work is carried out, while every effort will be made to minimise the impact of noise on nearby residents.
The work is part of Roads and Maritime’s commitment to delivering safe and high quality services to the community and businesses of Queanbeyan.
