Temporary closure of Camden Valley Way intersection at Cowpasture Road
13 MAY 2015
Roads and Maritime Services advises road users changed traffic conditions will be in place from next Sunday 17 May for six weeks for work to build a new intersection with traffic lights at Camden Valley Way and Cowpasture Road at Leppington.
“Work is progressing on the final stage of the $280 million Camden Valley Way upgrade after stages one and two opened to traffic last year,” a Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said.
“The temporary closure of the Camden Valley Way and Cowpasture Road south intersection will be in place from 9pm on Sunday 17 May to 5am on Monday 29 June, weather permitting.
“Some night work may be required from 8pm to 6am between Sunday and Friday. Every effort will be made to reduce the impact of noise during this time.
“Road users are advised Cowpasture Road south will be closed at the Camden Valley Way intersection while the work is carried out with access to Cowpasture Road south residents to be maintained at all times.
“Camden Valley Way motorists can access Cowpasture Road south via the Bringelly Road detour with electronic message signs in place to advise motorists of the change.
“The remaining 1.8 kilometre section is on track to open in the second half of this year,” the spokesperson said.
