Changed traffic conditions at the intersection of Ingleburn Road and Camden Valley Way at Leppington


Work is progressing on the Camden Valley Way upgrade between Bringelly Road and Ingleburn Road at Leppington.

“Camden Valley Way is being upgraded to a four lane divided road between Bringelly Road and Ingleburn Road from next Monday while work continues on the final stage of the $280 million Camden Valley Way upgrade,” A Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.

“Temporary road closures are required at the Ingleburn Road and Camden Valley intersection while work is carried out to build and realign the new intersection with Denham Court Road and Ingleburn Road as a four way intersection with traffic lights.

“In preparation for this work, traffic will be moved onto the new section of Denham Court Road with the old section of road to be used as a service road for local residents.

“Detours will be put in place via Heath Road while road closures are carried out from Monday 21 September to Tuesday 1 December, weather permitting.

“Bus stops in the work zone will temporarily be relocated to the corner of Byron Road and Ingleburn Road and signage will be in place to direct commuters.

“A number of night shifts are also scheduled to take place from Sunday 20 September until mid-December, weather permitting.

“Residents will be informed prior to the start of scheduled night work with the number night shifts to vary each week.

“This work will be carried out Sunday to Friday between 8pm and 5am and on Saturdays between 7am and 6pm.

“Motorists are advised to follow reduced speed limits and the direction of traffic controllers.

“Work on the 3.2 kilometre upgrade remains on track and is expected to be completed by the end of the year, weather permitting.

“The upgrade will include new bridges over the upper canal and Bonds Creek and an off road shared pedestrian and cycle path built to improve safety for all road users.

“This work forms part of the NSW Government funded $280 million Camden Valley Way upgrade which is a major arterial road linking the Hume Highway, M7 and M5 interchange at Prestons with Camden, Narellan and Harrington Park.

“This project is part of Roads and Maritime’s commitment to delivering safe, efficient and high quality services and infrastructure to the community and businesses of NSW.”
