Safety fence installed at Dora Creek Bridge
23 October 2015
Roads and Maritime Services has installed a temporary safety fence on the northern approach to Dora Creek Bridge on Wangi Road at Dora Creek.
A Roads and Maritime spokesperson said the fence was installed to improve community safety by encouraging pedestrians to cross the road at a safer location.
“Pedestrians can use the walkway located under Dora Creek Bridge or the pedestrian refuge located further north on Wangi Road which are both much safer options to cross Wangi Road,” the spokesperson said.
“The temporary fence will remain in place until Roads and Maritime arranges a permanent pedestrian fence to be installed.”
Roads and Maritime will keep the community informed about the permanent pedestrian fence and proposed maintenance work for Dora Creek Bridge.
For more information about the installation of the pedestrian fence please, the community can call project manager Ken Saxby on 49 24 0260 during business hours or email Ken.Saxby@rms.nsw.gov.au.
