Motorists are encouraged to slow down on Cobboco Road, Eumungerie
27 October 2015
Motorists are encouraged to slow down on Cobboco Road in Eumungerie from Wednesday 28 October.
Roads and Maritime Services carried out a review of the road as part of an ongoing speed zone review program and in response to concern from local residents and a request from Dubbo City Council.
“The review assessed a number of factors along the road including pedestrian activity, road environment, traffic characteristics and crash data,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.
The 50 km/h zone will now start 170 metres south east of the Cobboco Road and Newell Highway intersection.
“Road users should be aware of the changes and remember speed limits are enforceable once the new signs are installed,” a Roads and Maritime spokesperson said.
“Members of the community can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area and have their say on speed limits.”
