School zone extension for Governor Philip King Public School
11 January 2017
Motorists are advised of changes to the school zone later this month for Governor Philip King Public School, Edensor Park.
A Roads and Maritime Services spokesperson said a 40 km/h school zone will be installed along Condello Crescent for a length of 220 metres to cover the active access point along this street.
“Roads and Maritime Services reviewed the school zone following a request from NSW Police,” the spokesperson said.
“After discussions with school, it was proposed the existing school zone be extended along Condello Crescent as the school access point at Condello Crescent was not covered with the existing school zone.
“In general 40 km/h school zones are provided on roads with an active direct access point from the school.”
“The 40km/h school zone will operate between 8am and 9.30am and 2.30pm to 4pm on gazetted school days.
“The school zone signs are expected to be installed on Wednesday 25 January 2017, weather permitting.”
Members of the community can sign up at the Safer Roads NSW website www.saferroadsnsw.com.au to receive updates about changes to permanent speed limits in their nominated area.
“Motorists are reminded to drive to speed limits at all times for the safety of all road users.”
