Major Projects 2023 forum – 29 August 2018

Over 200 industry and government partners joined us on 29 August for our annual Major Projects forum.

The event focused on opportunities for continued engagement and collaboration with industry as we provided an update on our key projects, deliverables and priorities in the coming years.

We were joined by the Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, the Hon. Melinda Pavey MP, who discussed key NSW Government priorities for our critical road and freight programs in the regions. Minister Pavey also highlighted the importance of continued collaboration with industry to ensure we meet our shared infrastructure priorities.

We also introduced our first panel discussion on the NSW Government’s Action Plan for the construction sector led by Infrastructure NSW Chief Executive Jim Betts. The panel included Technical and Project Services’ Executive Director Jeff McCarthy, Motorways Executive Director Camilla Drover, and Director of Commercial Services, Juliette Economo.

Roads and Maritime held a Newell Highway Overtaking Lane Program Alliance Industry briefing on Monday 4 June 2018 in North Sydney to provide an update about the program of work and opportunities for industry.

Over 200 industry partners joined us on 23 August for our annual Major Projects forum.

As our biggest industry event each year, we use this time to touch in with our industry partners to discuss how we are tracking against our program and outline priorities and opportunities for the year ahead.

We were also joined by the Minister for Transport and Infrastructure, the Hon. Andrew Constance MP, the Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, the Hon. Melinda Pavey MP and the Transport for NSW Secretary, Tim Reardon, who discussed our growing transport and road infrastructure program and its benefits for our customers, now and in the future.

Regional Industry Forums

The series of regional industry forums are an opportunity to share with our industry partners and local government our regional portfolio of projects.

Minister for Roads, Maritime and Freight, the Hon. Melinda Pavey and Roads and Maritime Regional and Freight Executive Director, Roy Wakelin-King presented to guests on the projects and programs of work specific to the Western, Southern and Northern regions of NSW and information for industry about working on our projects.

Representatives from Health Infrastructure and Education NSW joined Roads and Maritime at Dubbo and Kiama to share their regional infrastructure portfolios.

Major Projects 2021 Forum - 5 August 2016

Roads and Maritime hosted the Major Projects 2021 Forum in Sydney on 5 August 2016. More than 250 industry and government representatives attended the event which provided information on our forward work program and upcoming opportunities.

Western Sydney Technical Briefing - 5 November 2015

Roads and Maritime held a Western Sydney Technical Briefing on 5 November 2015 in Penrith to update industry on key milestones for the procurement of four accelerated western Sydney major tender packages.
