Guides and manuals
Manuals provide information about the operation of a system or activity; they are the 'how to'. They outline what is given and what is required and explain how to put the presented information into practice. Manuals can be all encompassing documents made up of many guides or procedures related to a particular topic.
Guides assist you to carry out services and activities. They are recommended best practice and not prescriptive. They allow some discretion and flexibility in how to undertake implementation of policy.
