The Photo Card Act 2005 authorises Roads and Maritime Services to issue Photo Cards to NSW residents who are over the age of 16 and who do not hold a driver licence.
Transport for NSW has completed a report on the Statutory Review of this Act. This review concludes that the Act is still relevant and meets the community's needs. A discussion paper that examined the need for any changes to the Act was published for public consultation in late 2011. The three week consultation period ended on 28 September 2011. Ten submissions were received. Recommendations from the review have been approved by Government and follow up actions will be taken accordingly. A copy of the review report is now available for download.
