Roads & Maritime Services advises all vessels and persons to keep well clear of the restricted area. The area is square shaped and extends 100 meters in all directions outwards from the center of the structure positioned at E 150 degrees 54`6.90 and S 34 degrees 27`7.96 off Coniston Beach, Port Kembla.
Vessel operators are advised to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of the area. This navigation warning remains in place for the duration of the works.
Roads and Maritime advises that in relation to the Area;
- Persons within the vicinity of the Area must comply with any directions given by an RMS Boating Safety Officer or Police Officer in relation to the restricted area or to marine safety. Failure to comply with any such direction is an offence (Marine Safety Act 1998, s.15A - Maximum Penalty $3,300.00).
- No unauthorised vessels are permitted to enter the Area and to do so may be an offence (Marine Safety Act 1998, s.12(6) - Maximum Penalty $1,100.00)
