RALEIGH BRIDGE REHABILITATION AND PAINTING
Monday 25 June 2018 to Tuesday 25 June 2019

THE WORKS

Vessel operators are advised that Roads and Maritime Services will be undertaking rehabilitiation and painting of the steel truss and bearings on the Raleigh Bridge over the Bellinger River at Raleigh. The works are scheduled to commence on Monday 25 June 2018 and are scheduled to be completed around Tuesday 25 June 2019.

(CONSTRUCTION) EXCLUSION ZONE

Due to the potential to affect the safety of navigation, vessel operators are advised that a (Construction) Exclusion Zone (‘the Zone’) will be established on the navigable waters of the Bellinger River, at the Raleigh Bridge between the above dates. Closed spans will be indicated by channel blocked markers suspended from the bridge, above the closed spans.

At least one 30m navigable span will remain open to vessel traffic under the bridge as works progress, to allow vessels to transit the Zone.

Vessels are restricted from transitting through the Special Event/Construction Zone where works are taking place and scaffold is installed.

Vessel operators are to exercise caution when navigating in the vicinity of the works and pay particular attention to construction work vessels, barges, anchoring cables, lighting & day shapes and any advisory signage.

This navigation restriction and warning remains in place for the duration of the works.
