Navigation Warning - Murray River - Lock 8 downstream to Kulcurna

POTENTIALLY HAZARDOUS RIVER CONDITIONS DUE TO ENTITLEMENT FLOWS
6 June 2017 until conditions abate

Roads and Maritime Services advise vessel operators that following recent high water events in the River Murray, water levels have returned to near normal pool levels and the waters downstream of Lock 8 to beyond Kulcurna Homestead are shallow and have numerous sandbars.

Extreme caution should be taken when navigating in this area due to the heightened risk of unmarked/submerged hazards.  Large vessels are advised to consider their voyage and plan appropriately.

These conditions are expected to remain for the foreseeable future and all vessel operators are encouraged to operate with care.
