Seven Mile Beach, Tasman Sea near Gerroa
TEMPORARY INSTALLATION OF RESEARCH APPARATUS
Wednesday 20 June 2018 until late October 2018
Vessel operators are advised that a temporary buoy and mooring floats will be installed for research purposes on the navigable waters of the Tasman Sea in the vicinity of Black Head and Seven Mile Beach, near the Gerroa township.
Vessel operators are advised to exercise caution when navigating on the waters of the Tasman Sea in the vicinity of Seven Mile Beach and Black Head, particularly during times of restricted visibility.
The temporary buoy and mooring floats are being placed to collect environmental data and will be 40cm in diameter, yellow in colour, and will be lit at times of restricted visibility displaying a yellow light with characteristics of five flashes every 20 seconds.
Vessel operators are advised that the unauthorised use of or interference with the buoy and floats, such as securing a vessel, is not permitted.
