Navigation Warning - Lake Victoria, Western NSW - Closure of waterway

Lake Victoria, Western NSW
CLOSURE OF WATERWAY
Indefinitely from July 2018

Roads and Maritime Services advise vessel operators that Lake Victoria, located approximately 70km west of the township of Wentworth NSW, is now closed to all boating.

The waters and bed of Lake Victoria are owned by SA Water, who has made the decision to close access to the Lake due to operational requirements and the culturally sensitive nature of the area.

A high-visibility barrier has been installed downstream of the road crossing to prevent boating access, and buoys have been installed nearby to advise boaters in the area of the closure.
