EXTENSION OF 4 KNOT SPEED RESTRICTION ZONE
Effective Saturday 1 April 2017
To assist in facilitating safe navigation for vessels operating in and around the Barangaroo Ferry Hub, Roads and Maritime Services advises vessel operators that the existing 4 knot zone in Darling Harbour will be expanded and extended in a further northerly direction, commencing on Saturday 1 April 2017.
The current 4 knot speed restricted zone extends from the north-eastern extremity of the Foxtel Wharf in a generally easterly direction across the waterway to a point on the opposite wharf approximately thirty (30) metres north of No.1 King Street Wharf.
The new 4 Knot Zone will extend from the north-east extremity of Darling Point in an easterly direction to the south-western most point of the concrete landing structure at Barangaroo South.
New 4 Knot signage has been installed and vessel operators are advised to be more vigilant when transiting this area and familiarise themselves with the change to the speed restricted area.
