DERELICT STRUCTURES AND FLOATING DEBRIS
Ongoing from Tuesday 31 July 2018
Vessel operators are advised that derelict structures, some partially submerged and floating debris have been detected in the waters of Port Jackson, in the vicinity of the north western side of Berrys Bay and Balls Head (Balls Head Coal Loader).
Vessel operators are advised to exercise caution when navigating on the waters of Port Jackson, in the vicinity of the Area.
As a result of the presence of the derelict structures, floating and partially submerged debris has been found in and around the Area.
Roads and Maritime Services have taken preventative measures and are actively monitoring the Area and removing the debris as it is detected, however further debris may exist particularly during and after periods of adverse weather conditions.
