Updates and announcements

Night work

Roads and Maritime Services will carry out futher night work from Monday 17 July as part of the of the Wyong Road upgrade at Tumbi Umbi.

Night work will involve asphalt and drainage works between Mingara Drive and Watson Avenue.

The night work will be carried out over six shifts from Monday 17 July to Thursday 27 July, weather permitting. Working hours will be between 6pm and 5am.

Work will also continue to be carried out during standard construction hours between 7am and 6pm, from Monday to Friday and between 8am and 1pm on Saturday, excluding public holidays. More information about night work is available in the July 2017 community notification (PDF, 364.3Kb).

Traffic conditions

In June, motorists were switched onto a new section of Wyong Road as part of ongoing construction at the Tumbi Road intersection. This involved moving the northern lanes of Wyong Road towards the south.

Left and right turn movements from Wyong Road to Tumbi Road have been maintained and the temporary restriction of a right turn from Tumbi Road onto Wyong Road remains. This right turn will be reinstated when this intersection is finished.

Motorists will continue to be directed to the roundabout at the intersection of Wyong Road, Mingara Drive and Tumbi Creek Road to perform u-turns as the right hand turn remains closed.

Pedestrians and cyclists will continue to be directed by on-site signage.
