Updates and announcements

Night work

Roads and Maritime Services will carry out night work in May as part of the of the Wyong Road upgrade at Tumbi Umbi.

Work involves a minor shift of the construction zone boundaries at the intersection of Wyong Road and Tumbi Road and this will be carried out at night to minimise the impact to motorists. Work will include moving barriers and signals, removing existing linemarkings and repainting new linemarkings. Other general road work including excavating may also be carried out at Mingara roundabout during the night shifts.

This work will be carried out over two consecutive shifts from Wednesday 3 May to Thursday 4 May, weather permitting. Working hours will be between 7pm and 5am.

Work will also continue to be carried out during standard construction hours between 7am and 6pm, from Monday to Friday and between 8am and 1pm on Saturday, excluding public holidays. More information about night work is available in the April 2017 community notification (PDF, 343Kb) .

Traffic conditions

The right turn from Tumbi Road onto Wyong Road still remains temporarily closed.

Motorists will continue to be directed to the roundabout at the intersection of Wyong Road, Mingara Drive and Tumbi Creek Road to perform u-turns as the right hand turn remains closed.

Pedestrians and cyclists will continue to be directed by on-site signage.

More information about the changed traffic conditions is available in the February 2017 community notification (PDF, 441Kb).
