Nambucca Heads highway service centre

Updates and announcements

RP Petroleum is the preferred partner to deliver the Nambucca Heads highway service centre at the North Nambucca Heads interchange, which is now being built as part of the Nambucca Heads to Urunga upgrade. The service centre is expected to be in operation in 2017.

Provision of highway service centres encourages drivers to 'stop, revive, survive' and provides opportunities to take breaks when they recognise the warning signs of fatigue, which contributes significantly to travel safety.

The Nambucca Heads interchange will connect the new dual carriageway highway and the existing Pacific Highway which will become a service road and provide access into the town of Nambucca Heads. Traffic from the new dual carriageway highway use the interchange to enter the highway service centre.

A development application has been lodged with Nambucca Shire Council for the development of the highway service centre at Nambucca Heads. To view this application, please visit Council’s website and search DA number 2/2016.
