The Woolgoolga to Ballina project is comprised of the following Pacific Highway upgrade development projects:
The Woolgoolga to Ballina project would upgrade about 155 kilometres of highway. The project starts approximately six kilometres north of Woolgoolga (north of Coffs Harbour) and ends approximately six kilometres south of Ballina.
The upgrade does not include the Glenugie and Devils Pulpit sections of highway.
Timing for construction of the Woolgoolga to Ballina upgrade is dependent on funding negotiations between the Australian and NSW governments. Read more about this project.
Flood focus groups
In November 2011, flood focus groups were set up for the Richmond and Clarence floodplains. The aim of the flood focus groups (FFGs) is to better understand flooding events in these areas and to gain stakeholder input into the flood mitigation strategies.
