Rozelle Bay Maritime Precinct
Roads and Maritime Services owns a number of sites on the northern and western foreshores of Rozelle Bay, with a cumulative size of 10 hectares.
The northern foreshore of Rozelle Bay has long been associated with maritime activity. The applicable planning instruments also recognise a preference for maritime uses throughout the precinct.
To further these aims, Roads and Maritime Services have been encouraging working harbour activities in the precinct. Following a tender process, a number of proponents were selected to develop key sites. Several projects are now underway, including the following (in various stages of completion):
- Boat repair and maintenance facility
- Superyacht marina
- Large dry stack storage facility, with marina
- Four marine contracting facilities
- Catamaran facility.
Once complete, these projects will provide more than $150 million of infrastructure for the industry.
