Proposed permanent electronic message sign on the Burns Bay Road Penrose

The NSW Government is funding a proposal to install a permanent electronic message sign on the Burns Bay Road as part of its $300 million Urban Roads Pinch Point Program, which aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve travel times on Sydney's busiest road corridors.

Project background

Roads and Maritime Services sought feedback in September 2016 on a proposal to install a permanent electronic message sign on Burns Bay Road, at the intersection of Best Street and Victoria Avenue.

Project objectives and benefits

The project is part of the NSW Government’s $300 million Urban Roads Pinch Point program which aims to reduce traffic congestion and improve travel times on Sydney's busiest road corridors.

The sign will provide southbound road users with advance notice of planned and unplanned incidents on Ryde Road and Victoria Road.

What happens next?

We are currently reviewing the feedback received. We will prepare a community consultation report which summarises the matters raised and our responses.

The local community will be kept informed on the progress of work throughout the project. Please email info@ltjv.com.au if you would like to receive email updates.
