Changes to bus stops in Castle Hill and Baulkham Hills (route M61)

Transport for NSW is improving bus on-time running along the Castle Hill to Sydney bus corridor

Updates and announcements

Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime Services are seeking feedback by Friday 16 June 2017 on a Review of Environmental Factors for changes to some bus stops along a bus corridor, mainly serviced by route M61, on:

  • Old Northern Road, Castle Hill and Baulkham Hills
  • Windsor Road, Baulkham Hills

We have included detailed maps to help explain these changes to bus stops.

For more information, please download the community update (PDF, 2Mb).

Project background

The NSW Government has fully funded the Bus Priority Infrastructure Program. The program aims to improve the reliability of bus services on Sydney’s main bus corridors.

The proposed changes are part of ‘Sydney’s Bus Future’, the NSW Government’s plan to redesign Sydney’s bus network to meet customer needs now and into the future. For more information please visit Sydney's Bus Future.

These changes have been developed by Transport for NSW and Roads and Maritime, in consultation with Sydney Buses.

Key outcomes of the proposal

  • Making travel times more reliable for customers
  • Contributing to the NSW Government’s target of 95 per cent on-time running of bus services.

Community engagement

We have assessed the environmental impacts of these changes to bus services along the Castle Hill to Sydney bus corridor (route M61) in a report of findings called a Review of Environmental Factors (REF). It will be on public display from Monday 15 May to Friday 16 June 2017.

Please download the Review of Environmental Factors:

We welcome your written comments on the proposed changes and the REF by Friday 16 June 2017.
